This year, in the time of the pandemic, I am VIRTUALLY walking in the Hunger Walk to raise money for CAIN, Churches Active In Northside. As a resident of Northside and a Board member of CAIN, I can see everyday the important work CAIN does for local neighbors in need. Especially now, during the pandemic, CAIN's food pantry (with a 40% increase in demand), has continued to provide the needed food, household and personal hygiene items to families in need. In 2019 we served over 1,000 families and 12,000+ individuals. In addition, CAIN provides weekly congregate meals to 80+ individuals a week and assists residents in accessing heathy food through the Northside Farmers Market. In the summer months CAIN provides housing to homeless families.
Please join me in this VIRTUAL Hunger Walk to raise needed funds for CAIN and the families it serves. It's easy to do! Simply participate by pledging money to CAIN. I hope you can join me. Thanks ahead! - Lucy
